it’s easy to find Christ amongst the wrongfully convicted. but it’s our duty as Christians to extend our love and compassion beyond those who are “easy to love.” God have mercy on all prisoners. i pray for an end to the death penalty, for an end to mass incarceration, for an end to state-sponsored torture, slavery, violence, SA, and all horrors that fester within “correctional” facilities. i pray for the prison abolition movement, and all those fighting for the dignity of the prisoner. not in charity and out of moral boastfulness, but out of true commitment to the solidarity amongst humans. Christ, Son of God, have mercy on us, sinners.
